男裝(一）

男裝這回事...

要先說明~

在學術剪裁上我其實差不多是一竅不通的。

因為太專注在女裝上了；

很多男生也問我有沒有設計男裝...

但說實在的...以我這樣feminine 的mindset 去設計的話...

你們不會想穿的~~~~

又有很多人以為我應該很著重男生的衣著；

相反的我真的不太在意，

只要decent，整潔就好。

但在觀感上面看我倒是有些偏好。

在英國exchange的那段時間，

我天天都很enjoy看那些男生的穿衣品味。

試過一個極端的例子是...

我看到一個男生有著柔軟的白金色頭髮；細白的膚色，

通透的藍眼睛，輪廓分明而優美的側面，

穿著灰色Pea Coat，一副紳士的樣子，

我看著他看得出神了；

覺得他美得像天使。 

我那一刻不介意他在抽煙，那雲霧竟然還增添了詩意。 

（好啦...因為我站得夠遠燻不到我 ...平時我是怕得很。)

所以我其實是很喜歡看男生穿Dress shirt和

Tuxedo等感覺很Gentleman的衣服。

我覺得一個男生最hot的時候永遠不是不穿衣服，

而是相反的有多decent穿多decent。

像是我最喜歡看女生穿晚禮服。

所以Justin Timberlake 唱得對的 ....

And as long as I got my suit and tie....

(我很喜歡他的新CD～整張都很sweet～）

不過呢要看不同場合穿不同的衣服啦~

穿整齊的西裝去野餐真的是too much....哈哈...

相比女裝的五花八門，

男裝比較著重細節和質量；

我也很喜歡男裝配色配得很細緻的感覺。

其實經常上mrporter.com看不同的男裝...

然後想像如果我是男生會怎麼配～

今天先說配件～

看到Lanvin那些Tie-Pin 和Button Hole Pin我是喜歡得想買來自己用的...哈哈...

想像這個pin在navy和Light Sky Blue的 Suit Jacket 有多好看～

但想到那個花花其實我自己手造也很簡單就打消了想買的念頭。

說到這裡有趣的朋友會覺得我懂得手造這些東西真的很神奇；

神奇的地方在哪～～～

我一套套晚裝也是這樣親手造...哈哈..

不過現在比較少了，還是交給有多年經驗的裁縫比較好，

質量有保證。

像這個配黑色Suit Jacket白色Dress shirt 和黑色Bow Tie就很有型呀～

玩味一點的話配鮮豔如 Crimson，Medium Blue都很好看。

黑白因為是neutral colour，所以配什麼都很容易。

粉藍和白色永遠是絕配。

像藍天白雲；海與浪花；

如果配上亞麻色就如夏天的海灘~

如果氣質容許的話配粉紅色Blazer也可以很好看。

色彩繽紛點的比較適合質地relax的如Cotton & Ramie Mix 或是 Linen的

Chambray shirts，配Powder Blue，Beige 和ivory都美。

我太長氣了...

不經不覺就打了這麼多；

不過我平常還是比較多當一個listener....

相信我....這樣會學得比較多不同的東西...

哈哈～好了，先停一下，

書。

今天想說：書。

我的錢不是花在衣物上就是花在書上。

所以我除了有很多很多的衣服，

還有很多很多的書。

什麼美容護膚我只要簡單直接的就可以，

保養品我只用最基本的；

連美容院都不會上的我....

常常覺得只要心境開朗用什麼只要不過敏都很不錯了。

你們有興趣的話我當然都不介意介紹一下我用的東西有多基本...哈哈 : D

很有趣的是，Facebook上經常有不同的女生給我send message，

對於一個時裝設計師來說，

應該是比較多問打扮和美容的事情吧；

但事實上，也有很多女生問我的是心理和情緒控制的問題。

她們都想知道為什麼我經常都好像很快樂很快樂，

有問題時又怎樣解決；

面對批評又怎樣釋懷等等。

這些東西我可以說一整天，

從很多不同的angle 去說。

只因看過很多很多不同的書，

全都很inspiring。

我不只會看和時裝有關的書；

其實我對什麼知識都很有興趣，

所以從philosophy、心理、藝術、小說、詩集到繪本都看。

在讀BA和MA時都要寫論文；

很多人以為我們只要設計和車衫就可，但事實完全不是這樣....

其實....其實我暗地裡喜歡寫論文喜歡得不得了...

因為要做literature review，看幾十本書是基本，

有正當理由把書本狼吞虎嚥不知多高興：）

但重點是，像設計一樣；

不同的inspiration也會引出不同的end product，

看同一本書，不同的人會有不同的感受。

以下有幾本很有趣而且對我很有啟發的想和大家分享。

比較學術性那些可能沒有太多人有興趣，

但用心看是真的有很多得著的；

anyway先說些reader-friendly的～

《神與人的遊戲》

深雪

很多人也知道我對深雪小姐的作品情有獨鍾，

這本是暫時最喜歡的。

謝謝深雪把自己靈修領悟的大智慧用小說的方法呈現；

裡面的智慧如果真正的理解明白的話，

我們都已經在把自己靈魂變得更光更強大的道路上了。

這本書在之前打英文blog時已經提過了，

但還是不得不再說；

這是女生都一定要看的。

從走路到配襯到禮儀都有說明。

很欣賞封面設計的心思，

看似很簡單吧，

但那一隻顏色應該經過多重的考慮；

是怎樣的呢？

我用設計師的思維告訴大家：

知道Audrey是優雅的Icon吧，

那想起Audrey大家也會想起她的經典作品 Breakfast at Tiffany's ;

Tiffany的cooperate colour 是什麼？

Tiffany Blue .

就是那偏藍的cyan。

Pantone PMS number 是 Founded Year : 1837。

整件事美得不行。

R:129

G:216

B:208

當然這顏色是有專利的，

設計師只能用近似的顏色。

但足見其心思了。

明天...我想說一說男裝。

新的開始。

在這天的清晨5時55分；
我決定用新的手法寫我的blog。
於是，我起床開始寫…
有很多的東西想說，
從時裝、藝術、打扮到生活。
思想、哲學、手作到態度。
我是一個基本上不會停止思考的人，
當然人的腦袋時刻都在運作，
但我是那些一有機會便和自己溝通，
和自己對話的人。
有些想法，我不想只留給自己，
我想和大家分享。



用新的方法去寫；
因為我發覺很多人知道我的背景，
看過我的作品，
見過我的畫；
但如果不用文字再闡明，
用我說話的口吻娓娓道來；
我還是一個很平面的人。
就像是問Lilian Kan是什麼人？
大約別人都會回答一些表面的客觀事實，
時裝設計師、模特、碩士生，
眼大大面圓圓的那個女生。

There is always something more than meets the eye.

我做過不下10個訪問，
但從來沒有一個問我當初立下決心要當一個時裝設計師的悸動。
也許他們覺得這不重要，
但是，明白嗎？
那是我一直的動力。
這個想法令我把困難都當成學習，
時刻提醒自己把所有機會都把握，
因為這夢想遠大得我一刻都不敢鬆懈。


其實從四歲開始己立志，小時候喜歡畫畫，
喜歡玩針線，會自己造衣服給Barbie穿；
長大後明白到這根本是一個叫時裝設計師的工作，
在2010年報讀碩士時，

我的personal statement文章第一段是：

Everyone had that experience, 
when dressing in a particular outfit,
All of a sudden a sense of confidence drifts from the bottom of the heart 
to an assuring smile on the face.
Their eyes are shinier than ever,
The complexion become bright and dazzling,
That is, the moment human beings fell under the spell of fashion designers.
It is that enchanting instant; the delighting incantation made me wants to become the magician
that brings happiness and praise to the wearers.

 一個字眼都不用改，
這想法從四歲至今始終如一。
但在這差不多三年的時間裡，
我的想法更深層更立體；
我一直，
想給大家一些橋樑，
去看我腦裡那美麗的意境和世界。
從飄逸動人的衣服到精細的illustrations，
我那時刻一樣的笑容，
一切一切都是在開設一個通道；
然後，那通道也是一個個溝通的工具；
文字、時裝、照片，畫；
一層一層的inspire，一層一層的觸動。

Happy Easter

My latest status is : I am preparing to set up my own label : )

I am drawing sketches for my debut collection everyday~

An activity that can always excites me.

This time, I am drawing Daphne Groeneveld.

Inspired by the portrait in Up In The Air shot by Karl Lagerfeld for Flair.

I can't see anyone more suitable in Maison Michael's Tea Rose Lace Bunny Ear then her,

since she look just like a cute bunny herself.

And it's Easter, 

so it makes perfect sense to draw a fashionable bunny.

Don't you agree?

And I happened to encounter FABERGÉ 's high jewelry egg pendants,

so easter so spring so cute!

Those roses made of pink sapphires and rubies are just adorable.

What a pity that they dont' come in gold, pink and powder blue,

would look so much more lovely.

Anyway, it already made me say Wow : ) so~

and being invited to draw for a perfume themed magazine,

my perfume drawing collection just boost : )

What is reality?

She is always amazingly exquisite and charming.

What I want to say today is :

My drawing do not carry any story, any emotion,

until you give it some.

It is the relationship of art and human beings,

it's about the communication of what you perceive.

From art, we can always get a clearer image of our inner heart.

What is reality?

Reality is what you believed in.

It is the reflection of your mind.

If your heart is pure and beautiful, 

so is the reality.

If your heart is dark and evil,

so is the reality.

Give yourself a better world,

by living with a beautiful mind.

A very beautifully presented Eau de Parfum.

Today I won't be talking a lot about the scent.

Sure it smell nice and sweet,

with Toffee apple, vanilla infusions and peony petals,

so sensual and seducing.

But,

today i am gonna focus on :

How does it feel like to be torn apart?

Like my blood vessels being torn and they are all bleeding.

That's what heart broken feels like.

What if...

you believed in all those beautifully presented lies?

and they are the cover of all those ugly moves,

horrid conversations and wicked relationships.

Keep pulling pulling...

I am broken.

You happy now?

You both happy now?

But I am going to survive in this bloody shower.

Because I live with my pure heart,

while evil stays in those parties.

Thank God for the qualities I have.

Pureness is always in me.

At least, I am true to myself.

Tell me how to fix a broken heart?

when the one you trust the most are lying all the time?

it could be as beautiful as a blooming rose.

Such a beautiful name.

It's one of the perfume that I wears occasionally besides Paul Smith Rose,

And now it had a new version : Valentina Assoluto.

The sensual note of Tuberose , Jasmine and mix of irrelevant flowers is very seducing.

" With attitude, sophistication and unexpected characteristics "

Well, I do have unexpected charateristics,

if you have chance to get to know me any better.

I really will surprise you.

Nail Lacquer is something that I always always buy 

and I can never get enough of those beautiful shades.

And I was imagining if any of the nail lacquer have a bottle like this,

I would have die for it.

Okay, the perfume collection is nearly done,

with two more drawings, 

I will call it the day.
