Naughty and Nice

Haven't update for ages!

I had been busy designing my new collection,

which include 30 pieces of bridal and evening wear,

it kept me really really busy.

Using drawing tablet always give others the illusion 

of lacking of brush strokes and textures.

For me, I guess it all depends on the technique and use of different brushes.

So, I used brushes included in the CD with Intuos 5,

and create this pencil drawing-like illustration,

featuring Jessica Stam in Giambatista Valli Dress.

Very amazing isn't it?

Well, I hope I can update again very soon!

After all, it's drawing that calms me down and made

me rediscover the beauty in ordinary route.

Merry Christmas 2011

Merry Merry Christmas.

It had been a long time since my last drawing,

I had been busy in sewing beading and designing clothes instead of sitting

quietly in front of my computer and draw whatever I want to.

It feels really enjoyable to draw freely.

Again, it's Christmas time,

having all those delightful ornaments on the street,

following by those cheerful Christmas songs....

it feels like bouncing :)

Back to Basic

It's not that I do not draw recently,

It is quite contrary to that, I had been always drawing.

But due to the nature of the uses of those drawings, I cannot share them yet...

Anyway, this morning, I tried to work on those commercial drawings again,

but I just can't come up with anything.

So I decided to go back to the basic.

I interpret the look book of twenty by twenty, inspired by the nice colour combination

and the simple beauty in it, I keep the strokes of pastel, my favorite drawing media, instead of blurring them and blending them.

Sometimes it's the imperfection that makes the perfect.

While in most other drawings I enthuse on the delicacy and precision, this time I remind myself of the reason why

I love to draw, it is the power of creation,

which is simple, basic and fundamental.

well I was wondering do anyone really read between the lines I wrote?

maybe everytime I just type beeleebalabuleebeeleee and still no one sees it...haha...

anyway, I understand it.

Picasso once said, “I used to draw like Raphael,

but it has taken me a whole lifetime to learn to draw like a child.”

It is not that I am anything when compared with him,

but it is essential to find the core meaning and motivation in the path of creation.

While getting hold onto rules, we constrain ourselves.

We forgot the core value and the simple of happiness.

Laid back and listen to your heart.

It is always more than meets the eye.

Deep down the surface,

we can discover the real beauty.

but it's about us...

to stand strong.

and always, believe in what we believed in.

I always believe that I have the responsibility to show others what's going on

in my mind. Not everyone have those inspirations,

And if we do, it's our responsibility to show that beauty to the world.

It is that belief that motivates me, and keeps me from giving up when I encounter obstacles.

Cloudy Angelic

This time I tried a light approach,

with the brush strokes lighter, finer and longer.

Like the clouds, the fog.

Clouds are actually frozen ice crystals.

With the theme of cloudy angelic,

I drawn gems to bring up the crystal clear mood :)

It was really fun to draw gems…after adding the deepest colour and reflections,

They almost seem sparkling to me!

Well I guess I was a bit dizzy (probably drawing for too long…)

so the sparkling effects were still here until now…

Our Last Dance

I 've never drawn something like this, with scene and space.

being influenced by the recent Pixar 25 years exhibition showing all those sketches behide the movie scene,

I decided to draw something with scene,

like a familiar scene we have seen,

which touches our heart.

Here, a couple daning in an old house,

like dancing before the dawn comes,

before the end of the word.

Holding each other tight and close.

So romantic,

so beautiful....

I always had that scene in my mind,

those beautiful moments which never fades away.....

I would like to show all of you what 's on my mind bits by bits.....

There are something I would not give up believing,

they are true love, true beauty,

miracle and last but not least, Myself.

I think dancing as a very intimate move,

it is like two individuals connecting,

"I am you

you are me

we are one

Take me in your arms,

and flow through me,

I'll flow through you."

Miss dior chérie

Drawn on 11st June

Well I guess on one can resist the charm of Natalie Portman,

so pretty yet intelligent, so successful yet humble.

The new campaign she did for Miss Dior Chérie was just simply

irresistible, even girls would fall for her beauty.

So here, I drawn her with very little decorations,

 Instead of my usual practice of using flowers to set off the character,

I went back to simplicity to echo her innocent glaze.

She is a flower in full bloom already.

Agree?

The Blue and White Porcelain Collection

I have some kind of emtional attachment towards flowers,

they just keep inspiring me in different aspects, from illustrations to fashion design.

So, here , is my MA in Fashion Design Collection.

I stopped updating the blog since march and that's the reason stopped me from drawing lesuire illustrations.

Sewing them nearly all by myself, I spent days and nights in studio.

I hope all of you like it : )
